RECORD BREAKING RYDER CUP IN ROME

Vivaticket was the Official Ticketing Supplier of the event

The 2023 Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf & Country was one of the most popular in history. 271,191 people attended the 44th Ryder Cup, coming from 100 different countries. The ballot for general admission tickets – held for the first time to manage unprecedented demand – was seven times oversubsribed, with applications from 140 different countries.

Vivaticket, as Official Ticketing Supplier of the event, contributed to this great success in terms of numbers and audience, providing a highly innovative ticketing system that allowed users a simple and customised online shopping experience and managing on-site ticket sales and access control service.

Paolo Agresti, Head of Ticketing Operations for Ryder Cup Europe, said: “The 2023 Ryder Cup in Italy once again underlined the global appeal and continued growth of one of the world’s leading sporting events. We were happy to have chosen Vivaticket as our partner for ticketing and access control services delivering the first fully digital Ryder Cup from a ticketing perspective – removing over 600k printed items and all replaced by digital tickets, guides and passes. We worked four-handedly with Vivaticket team members to achieve this great result, and it really all worked out for the best.”

Silvano Taiani, Vivaticket CEO, commented: “We’re very proud to have contributed to this great success with our ticketing service that perfectly met the needs of this major international event”.
